Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Quote
Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch (Oct. 23, 1960 - July 25, 2008) gave his last lecture at the university Sept. 18, 2007, before a packed McConomy Auditorium. In his moving presentation, "Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams," Pausch talked about his lessons learned and gave advice to students on how to achieve their own career and personal goals.

I watched this earlier today and it's something I'd like to share with others. The lecture was made by a Professor who had terminal cancer and it was about achieving your childhood dreams and also helping others to achieve theirs. It's a really inspirational lecture about how to make the most out of your life and how to be happy. Seeing as there are some teachers and people who plan to become teachers on this forum I thought you might like the 'helping others achieve their dreams' section especially.

While I was watching the audio lecture, I have realized that the talk is like an extended version of The Desiderata. It's a nice inspirational talk, and you can't help but just respect and be amazed at this guy. But the thing that gets to me the most is that last part of the video above. He says "It's great that so many people have benefited from this lecture, but the truth of the matter is that I didn't even really give it to the 400 or so people at the Carnegie Mellon who came. I only wrote this lecture for three people.
