My name is Eriko Yamada.  I'm presently attending a school in San Francisco.  My major is ILLUSTRATION and I'm right at my 3rd year in the school...San Fran is a very beautiful place and a delightful place to take walks.  The town is quite small but it's very bustling and busy with so many people all the time...I love art and music so on weekends I go to the gallery and go out to concerts with friends...I'm in a band with my parents and I've just started the guitar--I wanna practice hard and get better fast!  Sometimes, I'm lonesome and miss my family in Japan...But I've also made a lot of friends here in San Fran.  School is really fun so I'm excited about the future!

My name is Eriko Yamada. I'm going to a school in San Francisco. My major is Illustration, and I'm in my third year right now. San Francisco is very beautiful and a fun place to take walks. My town district is small, but very lively and always overflowing with lots of people. I like music and art, and on the weekends I do things like going to galleries and live shows (raibu?) with my friends. I'm in a band right now, and I just started the guitar, but I want to practice a lot and get better soon. Sometimes I miss Japan and my family in Japan, but in San Francisco I made a lot of friends, and because my school is really fun, my future looks fun.

Nice job with the translation. Nitrosax you have one small mistake where you say she is in a band with her parents. Xtowers it is raibu for live.

The JLC 4 transcript is up.

I KNEW something was strange with here Japanese when listening...I listened again and this is what she says(she accidentally adds the particle NI before she says the particle WO)....

" Ima, Bando ni  ...    o yatteite "       So When I was listening I thought she said ["Ima, Bando ni Oya to ite"] which would mean I'm in a band with my parents...which I thought strange since she misses her family in Japan...why would her parents be with her in SF......

Funny isn't it?  But that particle messed it all up...Shame on you Eriko!! Trying to trick us!

I can't work under these conditions!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smiley
