Japanese Listening Challenge 5

This time we have a conversation between Mayuka and Mami. JLC 5

the parts in japanese i couldn't get 

mayuka - mami, wake up.
mami - hmmm...

mayuka - mami
mami- uhhh...whats up?

mayuka - don't you have work (part time job) today
mami - uhh, ya...i think i do!

mayuka - what times does it start?
mami - um, 5 o clock?

mayuka - isn't that like in 3 min?
mami - oh crap...被告するわ

mayuka - じゃあ早くしたくしなよ～　
mami - go...got it. したくするわ

mayuka - didnt you just get the job?
mami - ya ya, i just got it.

mayuka - where at?
mami - a sushi place.

mayuka - oh sweet  , how is it? is it hard?
mami - it gets crowded

mayuka - what do you do?
mami - i make sushi and sell it

mayuka - i see, is it fun?
mami - it's fun, i get to eat sushi 

mayuka - for real? that's nice
mami - ya it is

mayuka - i wanna work too...
mami - are you looking?

mayuka - haha, no =P
mami - you should look for one!

mayuka - put in a good word for me at the sushi place 
mami - what? you want to work there? べつにとこしてよ～

mayuka - ok, i got it...sheesh. well, hurry up before they get angry (?)
mami - thanks alot

mayuka - alright, shall we go?
mami - OK

i have class in 10 mins. X_x sorry I couldn't complete everything.

i just started listening to guzen media and english teaching in japan. i'm a japanese major here in california...but i was a little discouraged at first because i heard that the JET program doesn't want asian people who speak japanese. this is all he said she said stuff...but i'm not going to give up.

your pod casts gives a good insight on what to expect. i'm wondering if you know any JETs who were Japanese majors. this part of Guzen is probably where i shouldn't post this. i'll do so properly when i'm out of class. take care!

There are JETs/CIRs that are Asian (not sure about their Japanese speaking skills). I've known quite a few in my time here. How many Asians apply compared to how many are selected is something I don't know. But, never let hearsay discourage you from anything. Finish your studies and apply for JET if that is what you want to do.
